Dis-parate or disparate – you decide…

I break the same word into two particular meanings when I emphasis a syllable. And in the near term, the most obvious misused definitions tend to fall into a word I take completely for granted, disparate. Now I pronounce it as though it were spelled disperite, a 3 syllable, sing-song pronunciation. Dis-parate, on the other hand. or dis-parrot, as it should be spelled, refer to the sheep that tend to follow the loudest mouth in  data warehouse planning room. Separate thoughts become lost in lieu of taking on a consensus, or sheep-like, group-think behavior. And because these same practitioners tend to think very highly of themselves, one is left wondering exactly why individuals cannot express what they are really thinking more often…Fear of others’ judgements, fear of being wrong…? Who knows…
